03.19.04 - Do I ever cross your mind, anytime? Do you ever wake up reaching out for me...

It's official...I have about 36 hours to lose at least 2 lbs. so that I can fit into my prom dress. How nice is that?

It's also official...my house is going to be the site of an after party. Now *that* is nice...

I was talking with somebody at work the other day, and his prom was last week. He said that it was "ok" but the pre-party and after party were better, particularly the pre-party. I don't know if it's just me and my non-drinking self, but I find it completely ridiculous to get drunk before prom. What the hell is the reward or joy in that? At least, from a female aspect, you pay about $100 for the dress, $75 for the prom ticket, $50 for the limo, etc etc...and you can't even remember it because you're totally wasted? What the fuck? But I digress, perhaps some people just can't enjoy themselves without alcohol, which is utterly sad and pathetic, if you ask me.

Someone told me that Nishanthan got drunk, went to Grad Night, came home, and he didn't even know that he went to Wonderland. Good job, dude...you just paid $45 for something you could've done at home...These kind of people piss me off beyond belief.

On a completely unrelated note, I hate wearing a name tag at work. Customers constantly come up to me and say, "Hello, Emily," and I stare at their faces, wondering if I should know this person from some kind of weird experience I had in the past; but then I realize that they can read and are utilizing that skill to its maximum potential. Friendly in one way, very creepy in another.

The other day, I was at an intersection, a little bit over on the left side of the lane, when some idiot in an aqua coloured Cronos squeezes beside me and scratches my car. But I guess it's divine justice for that silver Civic that I accidentally scraped when I pulling into a spot at Wal-Mart. How I got my driver's license will always baffle me to no end.

...what the hell did I just babble about? I was correct...now that American Idol's over, my life has become completely and utterly a vast wasteland.
